Man killed in drive-by near southside nightclub

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was shot as he left a nightclub and he died a short time later at the hospital, according to homicide detectives.

Joshua Holiday, 20, was hit by gunfire when a black Toyota Tundra pulled up at the OST Lounge in the 6500 block of Peerless near Old Spanish Trail, according to Houston police.

Police said no arrests have been made but several potential eyewitnesses have been interviewed.

Family members of the victim said Holiday's cousin was next time when he was shot. He was not hurt.

Felicia Washington, Holiday's aunt, said his brother was the victim of a murder earlier this year and her family is fed up with the violence.

"He was so young and the streets are taking them over petty stuff. Everything is so petty. Everybody is not looking at anything real anymore," she said.
