HOUSTON (KTRK) -- We asked ABC-13 viewers for the best places to take your date around the city.

Brenners on the Bayou

Brenners is situated in a wooded retreat right along the Bayou. Enjoy the outdoor Blue Bar before your meal for cocktails and appetizers. During the summer they have Bands on the Bayou with live music from 3 to 6 p.m. They also have a prix fixe menu available every day for $45 per person that will save you 25 percent off!

The Showboat Drive-in Theater

Take a drive up to Hockley and visit the Showboat Drive-in Theater. Park your car and you can enjoy two movies for just $7 a person. Bring your own snacks or stop by their concession stand.

Miller Outdoor Theatre

All of the shows at Miller Outdoor Theatre are free, so find one you can both agree on. Then pack a picnic and bring a blanket for a fun and affordable night out.

Cooking class

Sur la Table, Central Market, and Houston-area cooking schools urbanCHEF and Well Done offer date night cooking classes where you can get closer in the kitchen. Check with your favorite restaurant because sometimes the chef will host cooking classes in-house. Choose your favorite menu and make sure to book in advance because these fill up quickly!

Mark's American Cuisine

If you'd rather have someone else do the cooking, viewers say they can't get enough of the romantic atmosphere at Mark's, and the food is outstanding too! To sign up for Mark's MVP program, text the word POINTS to (832) 850-4854 and you'll automatically receive a $20 gift certificate.

Movie Tavern

If you and your sweetie enjoy dinner and a movie, you can do both at the same time at Movie Tavern in Tomball. Their theater features a full-service restaurant so you can have dinner while you watch the show!

Topgolf

Take a swing at love with an outdoor outing at Topgolf. Neither of you have to be expert golfers to enjoy the scored driving range. There's also a great bar with delicious food, as well as pool tables and TV screens to enjoy other games!

Tour the Museum District

Spend an entire day together touring some of Houston's museums. The Houston Museum District consists of 20 museums within a 1.5 mile radius, so there is surely something for everyone. Think you aren't a big museum person? The Houston Zoo is included in that list too!

Stand up paddleboarding at Discovery Green

Stand up paddleboarding on Kinder Lake at Discovery Green is a fun and easy way to try out this fun water sport beneath the shadow of the downtown skyline. You and your date can do this everyday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the hours extend to 9 p.m. from June 1 to Aug. 31.

Take in a comedy show

Have a good laugh together at Improv Houston or Joke Joint. We even found a LivingSocial promotion for two tickets to Joke Joint for just $16.
