Chemical plant flare lights up sky near Alvin

ALVIN, Texas (KTRK) -- A flare burning at the Ineos plant in Alvin has caught the attention of residents in the area.

The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office confirms it is a flare at the Ineos facility at Chocolate Bayou.

They have not been made aware of any health or safety concerns for the public
