Off-duty Houston firefighter arrested in alleged drunk driving crash

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A Houston firefighter will be placed under administrative investigation after his arrest on DWI on Saturday.

The fire department confirmed Severiano Vasquez has been employed with the Houston Fire Department for 4 years.

According to HPD, Vasquez was off duty at the time of the crash.

The incident happened overnight on Washington near Katy Freeway, where police say the firefighter crashed into a light post.

According to authorities, no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
