VIDEO: Man sought in multiple southeast Houston Family Dollar robberies

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Surveillance video shows a stunningly clear image of a man wanted in multiple Family Dollar robberies in southeast Houston this summer.

Houston police are asking for the public's help to find him. He's wanted in at least four robberies since June 28 in southeast Houston.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 230 to 250 pounds, and has been seen wearing sunglasses, a red shirt, brown shorts, tennis shoes and a baseball cap.

Three of the robbery incidents occurred at the following Family Dollar locations: 1810 Broadway about 1:20 p.m. on June 29; 804 Telephone about 5:35 p.m. on June 29; 3411 Navigation about 10:20 a.m. on July 22.

Police say the suspect targets employees while they are working at the cash register. The man, they say holds the cashier at gunpoint and then jumps over the counter, steals the money and demands money from the safe. In two cases, police say he has stolen keys to a vehicle and the vehicle. In the most recent case, police say the suspect robbed a customer inside the business, pointing his gun at a child and taking the mother's car keys.

Police say the suspect is also linked to the robbery of a man in the 10200 block of Forum Park Drive on June 28 around 3am. The suspect stole the victim's wallet and car.
