How to help Houston's furloughed federal workers
Born after Hurricane Harvey, the Houston Relief Hub is now helping Houstonians impacted by the government shutdown.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- In the wake of the continued government shutdown, the City of Houston is is partnering with an organization to help provide relief for furloughed workers.

The organization is a central operation for assistance, with their website providing a list of the growing number of companies helping anything from payment deferrals and loans, to free diapers, dog food and more.

The food is enough to feed a family of four and they plan on continuing their support every Friday until the shutdown is over.
