Where Houston Astros fans can celebrate in New York
Houston Astros fans have invaded New York, and one cantina is flying the team's flag in the East Village.

NEW YORK (KTRK) -- In Manhattan's East Village, we're seeing a little bit of Texas.

"We love our Houstonians," says Josh Gent, of Avenida Cantina.

At the cantina, Tex-Mex is on the menu. Tonight baseball will be on the screens, and the Astros flag will be flying.

"It's going to be wild tonight," Gent said.

The owners are all Texans or have some kind of connection, like Gent who is a New Yorker with relatives in Houston.

Gent is a Yankees fan, but he's had to make himself scarce the last two games.

"I've been nice, very accommodating," Gent said. "I just hide when the game comes on."

He disappears and if the Yankees weren't in it, he'd too be rooting for the Astros.

When baseball isn't on, they root for the Texans and the Rockets. They raised money after Hurricane Harvey.

The Astros organization dropped off official gear yesterday, and they expect the place to be packed tonight.
