Child of sheriff's deputy accidentally shot in Montgomery Co.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A 2-year-old child of a Montgomery County Sheriff's deputy is in the hospital after being shot accidentally.

Investigators have not given us much detail, except to say the child is expected to survive.

The sheriff's office and Texas Rangers are investigating.
