Airbus' passenger-stacking patent goes viral
Legroom on a flight already comes at a premium, but you won't believe this proposal by Airbus.
The European aircraft manufacturer wants to essentially stack passengers on top of each other, ABC News reports.

The Airbus patent was filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The diagrams show your normal row of seats, but then there's a second row of seats suspended from above, putting another passengers rear end level with your head.
On top of that, there's a third row - below the main row of seats - that puts passengers in some sort of "sleeping boxes."
Many are wondering how it would work. Imagine being on the top bunk and you drop your drink. Imagine being on the bottom bunk and that drink lands on top of you.
"You always see aircraft manufacturers studying passenger experience amenities like a sleeping box," Aviation expert Benet J. Wilson told CNN. "But getting from concept to reality is a long road and most times never gets past the paper stage."
Airbus won't talk about the patent, but it did release this statement to CNN:
