After a break from the rain on Sunday, rain showers will return by Monday afternoon along with milder temperatures. Highs on Monday will top out in the mid to upper 60s.


Increasing Gulf moisture will arrive on Tuesday which will allow for not only rain, but also a few strong storms that could turn severe. The Storm Prediction Center has placed SE Texas under a risk for severe thunderstorms to develop.

Meanwhile, we continue to monitor the weather changes for the holiday weekend. Latest models bring rain and cooler weather to our region with the wintry mix staying well north of our area.
