Tim Heller's weather forecast (KTRK)

2-4" of rain possible in most areas over the next two days
The rain chance is on the rise. Warm, muggy air blowing into southeast Texas will bring scattered showers tonight with periods of heavy rain likely by Wednesday morning.

Chief Meteorologist Tim Heller says 2-3" of rain is likely in most areas between now and Thursday evening. Over 4" is possible is some spots, depending on where the individual storm cells develop.

The rain could be heavy enough to cause some isolated street flooding, but bayou flooding is not expected at this time.

Another weather system blowing thru Texas this weekend will bring us another chance of rain both Saturday and Sunday. The rain looks to hold off until after the Rodeo Parade, and it will still feel like spring outside.
