Balmy air brings heavy rain to Texas
Your rain chance is on the rise. Meteorologist Travis Herzog says warm, muggy air blowing into southeast Texas will bring scattered showers today with periods of heavy rain likely Wednesday.

Altogether 1-3" of rain is likely in most areas between now and Thursday evening. Over 4" is possible north of Houston.

The rain could be heavy enough to cause some isolated street flooding, but Travis says bayou flooding is not expected at this time.

Another weather system blowing thru Texas this weekend will bring us another chance of rain both Saturday and Sunday. Travis says the rain looks to hold off until after the Rodeo Parade, and it will still feel like spring outside.
