HOUSTON -- Houston All-Star second baseman Jose Altuve was out for the second straight game on Sunday against the Mariners with a hamstring injury and Seattle left fielder Mark Trumbo was scratched with back spasms.

Altuve strained his right hamstring trying to beat the throw to first on a grounder on Friday night and missed Saturday's game. Manager A.J. Hinch says Altuve was feeling better on Sunday and that he's still listed day to day.

Trumbo was in the lineup on Sunday, but was scratched about 95 minutes before game time. He was replaced in left field by Dustin Ackley.

Altuve, who won last year's AL batting title, is hitting .290 with five homers and 27 RBIs.
