International Pirate Day
It's International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

September 19th is not just any day, it's International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

As legend has it, the annual tradition was launched by friends John Baur and Mark Summers in Albany, Ore., in 1995 as a means to glamorize the golden age of piracy in maritime history.

Usually, Krispy Kreme participates on this day by giving away free donuts, but sadly, the company is not doing it this year.

"Ahoy! Talk Like A Pirate Day is still a holiday & you can still have fun dressing up. However, we will not be giving away doughnuts for it," Krispy Kreme tweeted.

But don't worry, Long John Silver's has Talk Like a Pirate Day has you covered. They are giving away a deep fried Twinkie. Just walk into any participating location and do your best, "Shiver me timbers!" No need to dress up. Just talk like a pirate!
