HOUSTON -- Even as children were arriving for class at Looscan Elementary in Northside Village, there were parents waiting outside for a meeting of their own with the principal about allegations of a substitute teacher inappropriately touching students.

On Friday, the substitute teacher, who'd been assigned to a 1st grade classroom was removed from campus- when an investigation was triggered. Several students told their parents that he'd had them sit on his lap.

But the little girls said he kissed them on the mouth and cheeks.

A letter was sent out that afternoon from HISD to Looscan Elementary School parents.

Parents met for nearly two hours, some parents met with the school principal and a district representative.

"What's happening with the suspect, what's gonna happen and keep giving us the same answers? They're not allowed to say anything? It's under investigation, and that's the only answer we're getting," said one of the parents at the school, Christina Gutierrez.

HISD police are currently investigating the allegations.
