
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities surrounded a home in east Houston last night where they believe an armed had barricaded himself up inside. When police finally went inside the home, they found the suspect had already left.
Police say they were initially called around 8:30pm to a home in the 13500 block of Joliet in regards to a domestic disturbance.
Police say there were reports that the man had fired a shotgun inside the home as he got into an argument with a woman. The woman was not hurt and ran outside the call 911.
When police arrived, they weren't able to make contact with the man and called out SWAT. After a few hours, SWAT went into the home, searched it and found no one inside the home. They believe the man slipped out before HPD arrived.
Police are still looking for the man and say once he's arrested, he'll face assault with a deadly weapon charges.
