Police: Woman fatally shot when argument in Pasadena escalates

PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- A suspect is in custody in the murder of a homeowner in Pasadena.

Police say two women got in an argument at a home on Redfield near Deepwater Saturday afternoon.

The homeowner was shot and killed. Police arrested the suspect at a nearby apartment complex. They may have also recovered the murder weapon.

"Shortly after the shooting occurred, someone called in that there had been a gun located over in the middle of the street in another part of town," said Vance Mitchell with the Pasadena Police Department. "Officers did retrieve that weapon and we're suspecting that may be the murder weapon."

Police say the two women knew each other, but investigators don't know what the argument was about.
