HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police are searching for the driver of a dark-colored SUV that struck and killed a man in northwest Houston.
The accident happened around midnight in the 3800 block of Pinemont Drive at Roslyn. Police say they arrived and found a man dead in the road in the westbound lane.
Friends of the deceased told investigators that the deceased man had been smoking marijuana earlier in the day.
"Witnesses said he'd been smoking koosh when he decided to lay down in the street," said HPD Sgt Roberts.
Police say that while lying in the street, a dark-colored SUV struck the man. The driver did not stop.
