Massive fire destroys two mobile homes as neighbors watch in SW Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Incredible video shows a massive fire that destroyed two mobile homes overnight.

The mobile homes caught fire around 2:49am, and spread very rapidly.

About a week and a half ago, there was another mobile home that burned up nearby.

The people living next door moved out because of the damage.

The intense flames lit up the night sky and were captured on camera by someone who lives across the street.

She told Eyewitness News when she woke up, she could feel the heat and opened the window. That is when she saw the flames from this incredible fire.

Her mother tried to prevent their own home from burning by taking out their water hose, spraying water against the house.

The people who live across the street say they couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Both mobile home fires are under investigation and the cause is not known just yet.

Investigators say because no one was home in the mobile home that burned, they don't think it is weather related.
