FBI: Man sprayed rat poison mixture on grocery store produce
ANNE ARBOR, MI -- A man accused of spraying produce with a concoction of rat poison and hand sanitizer at several grocery stores has been arrested.
The FBI says the man tried to poison food products at stores in Michigan.

Officials say he also sprinkled the liquid onto the food carts.
Federal authorities say the man admitted to spraying the mixture onto exposed food at three Ann Arbor stores over the last two weeks. Investigators believe a dozen other stores may have been targeted.
Health officials say they do not anticipate any adverse health effects. There have been no reports of anybody getting sick.

Kristen Schweighoefer, director of the Washtenaw County Environmental Health Department, says people still need to remain vigilant.
"Keep an eye out for people who perhaps are entering or exiting through the wrong doors, hanging around exposed food for long periods of time, that are loitering or just being suspicious," Schewighoefer says. "Again, if you see something - say something."
