Did you ever wonder what a super food actually is? Well, it's a plant-based, mineral rich, and enzyme-rich food that's super-good for you.

One popular super food is the Goji Berry. These berries come from China, are high in vitamin C, beta-carotene and iron. They're a sweet treat that top granola perfectly, and if you eat them, they're supposed to improve your mood.

Have you heard of Maca? It's a nutty, almost butterscotch-flavored super food that was used by the Incan warriors. It's known to fight disease and fatigue, boost stamina, and is also an aphrodisiac. Maca pairs really well with chocolate flavors and goes well in smoothies, and even in homemade truffles.

Chia seeds are a super food from South America. They contain more omega fatty acids than salmon, are high in antioxidants, and balance blood sugar. But, if you're a big eater, a serving of these with also curb your appetite. Chia seeds mix well in smoothies, on top of cereal, and make a delicious pudding.

1 cup Chia seeds

3 cups nut milk

4 Tablespoons agave

1 Tablespoon vanilla

Teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Mix ingredients and set aside for twenty to thirty minutes.
