Galveston chills out with new exhibit

GALVESTON, tx (KTRK) -- Here in Texas, we're not used to a lot of ice. Which makes Moody Gardens' new ice sculpture park that much more impressive.

Iceland features 900 tons of ice, carved into holiday scenes of Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends.

Twenty master carvers from Harbin, China, are in town for the job. They've been creating and storing ice since early February.

The exhibit runs from November 15 to January 9th. But, be warned! It's 9 degrees inside!
