Crew member rescued after fall on container ship in east Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A crew member was rescued after a fall on board a container ship in east Harris County.

Crews were called to the scene just before 10:30am on Industrial Road near Miles Road, where a crew member fell about about 60 feet into a hold.

The man was immobilized and pulled out of the confined space. His condition is not known.

The Channelview Fire Department assisted with the rescue.
