Omar Pereney began his culinary journey at the age of 12, when he asked a chef of a fancy restaurant in his hometown in Venesuala, if he could cook in the kitchen. His curiosity intrigued the chef and soon he had Omar learning the ropes. Clearly gifted the young boy began to ascend the ranks of the business. Just a few years later he had his first full time job as a chef. From there there was no stopping him. Pereney has overseen several kitchens throughout South America and the US. He has hosted a popular cooking show in in South America, served as a consultant for many culinary endeavors and even instructed classes at Le Cordon Bleu Mexico. Finally at 21 the the talented Chef brought his sills to Houston. He recently opened Peska Seafood Culture that showcases seafood traditions and fish from around the world.Learn More

Cadillac Culinary Masters Cadillac and ABC-13 have come together to recognize Culinary Masters in the Houston area. This partnership was created in an effort to pay tribute to Houston's finest chefs. To qualify for this prestigious honor, Chefs must meet the criteria established by our panel of judges. Each month, the selected chef will feature a 'Cadillac Culinary Masters' inspired menu with proceeds benefiting the Houston Food Bank. In 2014 The Houston Food Bank was able to feed over 20,000 Houstonians, through the contributions of the Cadillac Culinary Masters.

Chef Olivier has prepared a special menu. All this month a portion of the proceeds from this menu will go to support the Houston Food Bank.
