Multiple lanes of I-10 East Freeway WB at Wayside Drive reopened after 2 lost spools block traffic

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A major accident on the westbound lanes of I-10 East Freeway at Wayside Drive involving a lost load forced drivers to maneuver around giant spools on Monday night.

Two spools were caught on TranStar cameras after a heavy truck struck the railroad bridge.

It's far from the first time giant spools have been a hazard on Houston freeways.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m., and all lanes reopened at about 11:30 p.m.



No injuries have been reported.
