VIDEO: Bill nearing landfall in Matagorda County

MATAGORDA COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Tropical Storm Bill is really bearing down on Matagorda County.

ABC-13 reporter Pooja Lodhia says she had to move locations early this morning due to rising water. Now, she's battling increasing winds at Jerry Park.

County officials say the water in that location is about 7 to 10 feet higher than normal. There are no plans to force anyone to evacuate, but officials advise residents to stay home if it all possible.
