Sienna Plantation residents clean up after tornado
Sienna Plantation residents worked to clean up after a small tornado struck overnight.

MISSOURI CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- A tornado struck the Sienna Plantation neighborhood in Missouri City around 1 a.m., the National Weather Service has confirmed, causing damage to as many as 50 homes.

Throughout the neighborhood, homes could be seen with roof damage, siding blown off and broken windows. Several trees were also toppled by the twister's force.

"I was watching a movie and everything was going fine. All of a sudden, we heard this real loud noise," said one resident. "You could just see, it was green outside and the house was shaking."

That resident also had visible debris scattered across the floor inside his home.

Down the road, Ridge Point High School also had structural damage.
