Fire guts home on Tiki Island

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire on Tiki Island Wednesday morning.

When crews arrived at the home at around 9:30am, it was fully engulfed in flames.

By the time the fire was out, the home was destroyed.

The owners are believed to be on vacation. A neighbor called 911 to report the fire.

Right now, investigators are working to figure out what may have sparked the blaze.
