Texans training camp move could cause headache for fans
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Annual training camp festivities may soon be out of reach for some Texans fans. For the first time in team history, team will hold their training camp outside of Houston.
The Texans will head to The Greenbrier, a luxury resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

For the past 15 years, fans have only had to travel to the Houston Methodist Training Center in southern Houston to see the free training events.
Getting to The Greenbrier may be a challenge in and of itself.
Round-trip economy airfare from William P. Hobby Airport to Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia -- a two-hour drive from the resort -- currently costs approximately $550 per person, but varies depending on the date and time of travel.
Greenbrier Valley Airport, which is only 15 minutes away from the resort, is only serviced by one regional airline that flies to three destinations in the southeastern United States.
Although exact practice dates have not yet been released, nightly rates at The Greenbrier during early August 2017 start at $288 per night. Club suites cost more than $500 per night.
The venue is no stranger to professional sporting events, and an escape from the brutal summer heat and humidity in southeast Texas is no doubt a plus for the Texans.
The Greenbrier boasts a multi-purpose athletic center that includes two grass fields, one artificial field and a training facility.
For the past three seasons, the New Orleans Saints held their training camp at the resort, which is also home to The Greenbrier Classic, a PGA Tour Fedex Cup event.
"It's a wonderful place and the facilities and climate combine for an ideal environment as our team trains, bonds, and prepares for the 2017 season," Texans general manager Rick Smith said in a news release.
