USC athletic director Pat Haden met with coaches and seemed "chipper" Sunday, interim coach Clay Helton told reporters, a dramatic improvement from Saturday's scare when the AD needed medical attention on the sideline.

"While we were watching tape with the offensive staff, [Haden] came in extremely chipper, gave his full support [and] looked like his regular self," Helton said, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The athletic director also tweeted Sunday that he was feeling fine.

Haden, 62, required medical attention before the Trojans' game against Notre Dame after feeling light-headed and dropping to a knee. He left the stadium, was checked out at a South Bend, Indiana, hospital and then flew back to Los Angeles, USC sports information director Tim Tessalone said.

Helton said Haden also called him Sunday morning to express support after USC's 41-31 loss, the newspaper reported.
