Michigan isn't waiting to cash in on its latest asset.

The M Den, the school's official retail partner, will sell No. 4 jerseys at the Michigan men's basketball team's Big Ten opener on Tuesday afternoon against the University of Illinois, where new football coach Jim Harbaugh is scheduled to be in attendance. M Den co-owner Scott Hirth told ESPN.com that his company also will sell Michigan-branded Dockers khakis at vending areas within Crisler Center.

Harbaugh is the most famous No. 4 to have played at the school. Harbaugh also has become known for his choice of pants and has an endorsement deal with Dockers that might be compromised by the school's 10-year, $82 million deal with Adidas.

Hirth told ESPN.com that as soon as he received word from the school that it would allow him to print No. 4 jerseys, his people got to work, taking Adidas blanks they stock and stamping the number on the front and back.

For now, the jerseys will not have Harbaugh's name on the back, nor will the M Den customize it with that name, until it becomes clear what rights Harbaugh assigns to the university.

Harbaugh signed a contract with Michigan on Monday night worth $35 million over seven years.
