HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- If you're looking to travel, or see the Astros play at home in the American League Championship Series (ALCS), you may not want to wait to make your plans.

The Astros could travel to either Ohio, or New York.

If you want to go, travel experts said consider options. Check nearby airports, and rent a car. Use miles to get tickets. If you want to book a flight now, check to see if the airline will let you cancel within 24 hours.

And since there's time, consider the 20-hour drive.

Buying home games can be tricky. Since the Astros don't have an opponent, buyers don't know when they'll be able to see a home Astros game.

If the Yankees win, the Astros host the first two games, starting Friday.

If the Indians win, the Astros won't play a home game until Monday.

Although people don't know the date, Astros ticket officials said the first two games are nearly sold out.

"We're seeing people jump quick," Astros Senior Vice President of Ticket Sales Jason Howard said. "The best part of post season baseball is people tend to put life on hold a little bit, and find a way to be here. And obviously with what's happened with the city, we've been a great place for people to get away for a little bit."

The opponent may change, but some things will not.

Like the first series, the Astros will feature a fan fest for home games and open Minute Maid Park for watch parties during away games.

While most fans we spoke with hope the Astros get home field advantage, the organization just wants to play.

"To sit there and say we're rooting for a team, that's not where we're at. We're rooting for the Astros," Howard said. "We'll pay attention to where we go and regardless of where it is."

The watch party will continue to be free, you just need a voucher from the team's website. As for ticket prices, on face value they run from $84 to around $300. As for the secondary market, we've already seen tickets as high as $5,000. If you're looking to buy tickets from the team's site, click here.
