Houston Astros third baseman Marwin Gonzalez left Monday night's 7-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals at the end of the seventh inning with left hand discomfort.

Gonzalez said after the game his hand has been bothering him since a slide into second against the Baltimore Orioles the last weekend in May.

Gonzalez, who re-signed with Houston in early February, came out of the game batting .312 with 12 home runs. The Astros' win was their 11th straight, the longest winning streak in the majors this season and one shy of Houston's record.
