Man dressed as Deadpool spotted around Houston
A man dressed as a Marvel Comics character has been spotted riding around town recently.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- "I'm a Specialist in the United States Army, been in for eleven years, deployed to Iraq in 2009 and 2010. Father of two."

It's not exactly the introduction you expect from a 29-year-old man riding a motorcycle around town while dressed up like Marvel Comic's Deadpool.

His name is Evo Gambino.

It takes real commitment to pull off some of the amazing cosplay at Comic-Con!

Middle name: Deadpool.

(Seriously -- he legally changed it.)

"Why not? Maximum effort! Go big or go home!" he laughed. "I pull up, either rev the engine or just wait. I kind of get a crowd coming to me."

He's right. We followed him around town and watched as both kids and adults ran up to him. Some of them wanted to take a picture with him; others just wanted to shake the hand of a superhero.

"It's just -- take a break from reality and see something that you normally would only see in the big screen," he explained. "You can actually look out your vehicle window and see it right next to you. It makes them happy, which makes me happy."

We all know the news of the world can be a bit depressing, even more so when you've served overseas.

So, it makes sense why any of us might want to put on a mask and turn into a superhero - even if it's just for the evening.

"Even though I'm in the helmet and you can't see my face," Gambino explained, "I'm smiling ear to ear the whole time."
