Jo Beth Young, wife of Second Baptist Church pastor, dead at 80

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Jo Beth Young, wife of prominent Houston pastor Dr. Ed Young, has died. She was 80 years old.

She helped shepherd Second Baptist Church alongside her husband for 39 years, after moving to Houston in 1978.

Dr. Young and Jo Beth were married 58 years ago.

She leaves behind her husband, three sons, 11 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Second Baptist Church will hold memorial services for her at the Woodway Worship Center on Thursday at 1 p.m.
