Meredith Johnson is thanking the community for sharing her story, and helping bring Cookie home.
She says a good Samaritan found her pup outside their garage overnight.
The family had seen Johnson's story and recognized the Chihuahua.
Cookie was slightly hurt in the crash but is OK. The two will be reunited tomorrow afternoon.
This comes after they were in a life threatening crash near the Hobby Airport.
Johnson says she crashed into a pole at the intersection of Monroe and the Gulf Freeway.
A bystander was holding her dog while she got help and she's been looking for the pup ever since.
