THE WOODLANDS, TX (KTRK) -- One woman has a fast-acting sprinkler system to thank for saving her after fire broke out at the Extended Stay America in south Montgomery County.

When they pulled up, they found a small fire in a third floor room with a woman sleeping inside. They were quickly able to put out that fire with help from the sprinkler system.

Paramedics rushed the woman to Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands. The extent of her injuries are unknown right now.

Firefighters tell Eyewitness News while they're still working on determining a cause, they did find discarded cigarettes near the bed where the fire started.
