Woman and her dog killed crossing roadway in northwest Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- No charges are expected to be filed in the auto-pedestrian accident last night in northwest Harris County that killed a woman and her dog.

The accident happened around 9pm when the woman was walking across FM 529 near Highway 6, carrying her dog.

The 43-year-old had already crossed six-lanes of traffic when a witness says, she tripped and fell. That's when she was hit by a car.

Paramedics transported her to the hospital where whe was pronounced dead.

Her dog was also killed.
