SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- Police in Sugar Land have released a sketch of one of three men who entered an unlocked house and robbed the residents inside.

It happened around 2:30am on July 22 at a home in the 1200 block of Misty Lake Court. A man told police he was watching television when a man wearing a mask kicked down the door. Two other men went though the house, kicking in doors and rounding up all the residents inside.

"At one point during the invasion, the homeowner's girlfriend struggled with one of the suspects and managed to pull off his mask and see his face," said Doug Adolph, a spokesperson for the city of Sugar Land, adding that the suspect then punched the woman in the face before tying her up.

Police say one man then watched over the bound residents as the other two men began stealing jewelry and cash from the home.

The suspects are all described as Hispanic men, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds. Surveillance video showed them arrive and leave the home in a light-colored sports utility vehicle, possibly a Toyota Rav 4.

The homeowner was visibly shaken Thursday. He did not want to speak on camera. Neighbors say they are equally shocked.

"It scares you that it could happen here. I think they had some workers here the day before. And after I heard about it, I thought they might have something to do with it because they were in there and knew the outlay of the house and all that," said neighbor Roland Scott.

The homeowner confirmed that he did, in fact, have work crews inside his home prior to the attack. He said that during that time, his alarm was disabled.

Police tell Eyewitness News they believe the home may have been targeted.
