String of robberies has neighbors worried
Neighbors and business owners along Rayford Road are banding together in the face of several robberies.

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- In the last month, criminals robbed six businesses along Rayford Road in Spring.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating but has not found a connection between the crimes so far.

Kaeleigh Jordan started a community Facebook page called Rayford Road Round-up. The hot topic -- crime.

"It puts us on edge, that's for sure," Jordan said. "I get some really concerned messages on my page. I have people who haven't moved off Rayford yet who are questioning moving off the road."

One Facebook user wrote, "This just secures my initial decision not wanting to move back down there."

Another user said, "It's getting scary out here in Spring."

Neighbors who live near Rayford Road said the rash of robberies is not normal.

"It makes me wonder if the 1960 area is moving north into this area because this has always been a very safe neighborhood," John Duck said. "I think I had my garage broken into one time and they took a lawn mower, but other than that this is a very safe, nice neighborhood. We've been here going on 23 years."

Jordan urges families and business owners who live and work around Rayford Road to be alert.
