HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A chance encounter between two women caught in a love triangle turned into a physical fight that ended in a shooting at a northeast Houston home, police said.

Police say the two bumped into each other September 9 at a neighborhood Texaco station and got into an argument over the man with whom they're both romantically involved.

The suspect, Jessica Williams, 31, allegedly followed the victim back to her home in the 7000 block of Bywood and blocked her driveway, and that's where the alleged attack happened.

According to her charging documents, Williams allegedly grabbed the victim by her hair, bit her left breast and then smashed her rear windshield with a brick. She got into her vehicle and drove off, but then reversed when she reached the end of the block. The victim said she tried to run into her home but couldn't get the burglar gate to open. That's when Williams allegedly walked up to her and shot her once in the abdomen with a silver handgun.

Williams fled the scene as the victim called 911.

Williams told police that the victim had shot herself but probable cause documents state evidence suggests otherwise. As a result, Williams was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities say Williams' criminal history includes two separate shootings in which she allegedly shot another female.
