Man fatally shot by armed intruders while he was watching Texans game

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police homicide detectives are investigating a violent home invasion that left one man dead.

It happened around 12:30pm Sunday in the 2300 block of Cleburne Street. Detectives tell Eyewitness News two males were watching the Texans game at their home in the Cleburne Apartments when they heard a loud knock on the door. Two armed males and one female stormed in demanding cash.

One of the suspects shot and killed the resident. The other suspect sprayed mace on the second victim before robbing him of cash and fleeing.

Police have no description of the suspects. The victim killed has not been identified.

Neighbors tell police they witness a lot of traffic going in and out of that unit.
