Bystander killed in attempt to protect woman from attacker in SW Houston
Authorities say Jason Cisneros was killed when he attempted to protect a woman under attack on Friday morning.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Ivania Salguero is learning what life is like without her best friend, 19-year-old Jason Cisneros.

Salguero said Cisneros pulled up outside her house on Troulon Drive in Southwest Houston just after midnight Friday.

"He sent me a message saying, 'I'm outside,' and then he was like, there's a lady honking, and this guy wants to hit her, he wants to kill her, something like that,' Salguero said.

According to police, Cisneros tried to intervene in the fight to protect the woman. Then, Salguero heard two gunshots from inside her house.

"Me and my dad, I was like, 'Jason's outside, we need to go outside,'" Salguero said, "And we were looking for him and then I saw the guy that killed him. And he was like, 'don't snitch, I killed him," Salguero said.

Salguero called 911 and an ambulance took Cisneros to the hospital. Cisneros did not survive. Salguero also said there were two children inside the car when the shooting happened.

18-year-old Hector Henriquez is charged with murder. Police found him hiding under a bridge with a gun.

Salguero said she wants Cisneros' parents to know it wasnt's her fault. She knows Cisneros would tell her the same.

"He would say it's not your fault," Salguero said, "Everything is gonna be ok."
