HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A child pornography investigation has led investigators to arrest a Harris County employee.

Last week, the Harris County Sheriff's Office High Tech Crime Unit identified an IP address of a person who they say was making images of child sexual assault available to share across the internet. The investigation led them to Steven Stones, a Harris County employee who worked in the Office of Court Management as an IT administrator over criminal data records.

A search warrant was served at Stones' home Wednesday. Officials say they found images of child sexual assault on his computer.

Investigators went to Stones' place of employment, where they say he confessed.

Stones was relieved of duty, taken into custody and transported to the Harris County Jail. He faces three counts of possession of child pornography.
