Go Tejano Day brings in record breaking crowd
The Houston Livestock and Rodeo show saw record numbers for Tejano day concerts.

Houston (KTRK) -- Go Tejano Day at the Houston Livestock show and Rodeo set a new all-time paid attendance record in 2017.

The event's performers Banda El Recodo and Siggno, took the stage Sunday, March 19 pulled in 75,557 fans.

The large turnout beat out the previous record, set in March of 2016, by only 49 people.

Last year's Go Tejano day record crowd came out to see performers Banda Los Recoditos and Los Huracanes Del Norte.

The highest overall attendance record for the Houston Livestock show and Rodeo is held in 2013 with 2,506,238 people, based on a 21-day run.
