Florida teen believed to have run away with secret boyfriend

CORAL GABLES, FL (KTRK) -- Two families in Florida are pleading for their kids, Samantha Delagado, 16, and Fabel Escalante, 20, to come home.

The two haven't been seen in more than a week and are believed to have run away together.

The parents of Delgado think she ran away with Escalante, her secret boyfriend. The two grew up in the same neighborhood and were forbidden to see each other.

Escalante has a criminal history which includes battery on a law enforcement officer and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Their loved ones just want them to come home.

Joseph Carollo, director of "Bringing Them Home" said on the family's behalf, "What we believe is they're both together, that she is OK, and they're scared. And we just want them to come back."

The girl's father says, if they come home he will not file any charges and will not come between their relationship.
