HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Arson investigators are looking into a house fire that broke out just south of downtown Houston.

Firefighters were called to the one story home in the 3000 block of McGowen at Sauer around 10:10pm last night.

Crews worked to put out the one-alarm blaze but did not make entry into the home because it was full of junk. The homeowner, who is the only person who lives at the house, was not there at the time the fire broke out.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
