HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One driver is dead after a fatal car crash in southwest Houston on Saturday evening.
Eyewitnesses tell police the driver of a Toyota SUV was speeding on this stretch of Hillcroft when he hit the corner of a driveway, lost control and went airborne into another yard, hitting a tree. The vehicle then caught fire.
The driver, whose identity has not yet been released, died at the scene.
Authorities believe that speed was a contributing factor. The accident occurred just after 7:30pm.
