Officials discover $500K in pot-stuffed 'carrots'
Carrot-shaped packages filled with pot were found among a load of real produce in south Texas.

PHARR, TX (KTRK) -- Border police in South Texas discovered not everything is always as it seems when they discovered 2,500 pounds of pot hidden inside a shipment of carrots.

A truck hauling produce in Pharr was stopped after agents spotted the contraband thanks to an X-ray machine.

Orange, carrot-shaped packages containing marijuana were seized, with a street value of about $500,000.
