An empty crate is sitting in front of an apartment at the Marquis complex near NASA Road 1 and El Camino in Webster. The family dog, Princess, is gone and her owner, Trace Griesel, is desperate to find her.

"I have PTSD and anxiety," Griesel said.

Princess is her service dog and helps her through daily routines after she suffered years of abuse as a child.

"She keeps me aware when someone approaches me from behind, she also calms me," said Griesel. "I have nightmares and terrors so she wakes me up at night."

Princess is a poodle mix that weighs 16 pounds and was mistakenly left out by a family member the night before Easter.

"It's been really hard going out, crying everyday. I want to go out everyday, and do stuff it's just hard."

Griesel has called all over, handed out flyers, and is still hopeful.

"I need her so much and I'd be so ever so grateful."
